The first night of the 2nd Annual South Side Irish Family Fest kicks off with a beanbag tournament at 5pm, music by Kevin Flynn and the Avondale Ramblers at 6pm and Tributosaurus at VAN MORRISON at 8:

The Subdudes will perform on Sat., Oct. 30, 8 p.m. Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St.

The Subdudes draw their inspiration from the sounds of their native New Orleans , blending blues, gospel, funk, and R&B with their own harmony vocals and a tambourine instead of a drummer.

Open Mic Night will be held at the Music Station, 1808 W. 103rd St., on Wednesday, Sept. 29, from 7 to 10 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge. Guests are asked to bring a snack to share.

Southwest side favorites, SLUMP, will play a special, outdoor concert on Saturday the 12th, starting at 7pm. The concert will be held on the veranda of the Blue Moon Coffeehouse at 1742 W. 99th street.

Mike Vanier and Ivan Martirena , Berklee College of Music graduates will hold an Open House at their new music school, concert venue and outreach program facility, The Music Station, 1808 W.

Saint Xavier University will showcase the Jazz Ensemble in its Winter Concert at 3 p.m. on Sun., Dec. 6 in McGuire Hall at the Chicago campus, 3700 W. 103rd St.
