When I really want a great Italian style sub or similar sandwich the place to go is Fontano's at 2151 W. 95th Street. You can eat in or take out. The meat is sliced on the spot, the freshest cheeses are added & it's all piled on Gonnella bread cut from 6" to 3ft long and several sizes in between. Today I had a 6" veggie with fresh chopped tomatoes, lettuce, onions, gardiniere, muffalata mix and provolone cheese. I also enjoyed a delicious onion soup with mozzerella topping. They also have wonderful beef, homemade meatball and every other type of sub sandwich imagineable! They have nice small sandwiches for kids and a great selection of deli salads, soups, chili, chips & cookies.
