Metra was recently honored with a 2010 Preservation Excellence Award for interior and exterior rehabilitation of the 99th Street Metra Station.
A rare surviving example of a 19th century commuter railroad station in Chicago, the station is part of the Beverly/Morgan Park Railroad Stations Historic District which includes six stations stretching from 91st to 115th streets.
