The buzz of news helicopters overhead greeted Metra commuters and neighbors in the Morgan Park area surrounding the 22nd District shortly after 8 a.m. today.

A firefighter fell through the porch of a bungalow near 111th Street and Ashland Avenue while fighting a fire. He was not seriously injured.

The fire started about 7:45 a.m. in the rear of the house and was under control within 15 minutes.
