What a special treat to enjoy a lovely dinner at Cafe 103! Located at 1909 W. 103rd Street in the heart of "Downtown Beverly" Cafe 103 has been receiving rave reviews in dining magazines and on line through out the city. The owners of Cafe 103 have brought a unique dining experience to Beverly, Morgan Park residents and visitors by specializing in preparing delicious seasonal menus that help support locally grown and sustainable agriculture. The atmosphere was stylish and the service was excellent! Our server Erin was very knowledgeable in regard to the menu and presentation. We were lucky enough to be visited by the chef and not one but both owners during our visit as they all checked in to see how we enjoyed our dining experience. We enjoyed every morsel of our dinner including the lovely naan bred complimentary starter, the mussels in a garlic wine sauce, the summer squash on a bed of creamy risotto, my husband enjoyed a green pepper stuffed with rice and vegetables surrounded by a delicious reduction sauce. I enjoyed the butternut squash ravioli in brown butter sage sauce,(one of my all time favorites!) and in the end we shared a scrumptious chocolate molten lava cake surrounded by fresh strawberries and chocolate sauce. I am looking forward to returning again and again and enjoying lunch there as soon as I can grab a friend and go! The restaurant is currently a BYOB. There was no corkage fee for the beer we brought and only $5 for the bottle of champagne. What a wonderful addition to the local dining scene in Beverly, Morgan Park!
