Beware of RecycleBank program
So I head that today is the last day to donate your RecycleBank points to Cassell School for the Green Schools Program. The school needs just $150 to reach its goal.
Unfortunately, I have no points. Oh, make no mistake about my recycling efforts: We have two - not one - TWO blue carts that we fill every week. But neither the alderman's office nor RecycleBank can tell me why I still don't have a tag on the cans to track my activity.
So I say "good luck" to those of you who are actually participating in the program. For guys like me, well, it's not the first time Rugai's office has been unresponsive.

Back to page topRecycleBank is only in its pilot phase. If you do not live in the boundaries of recyclebank's pilot program you will not get a tag on your bin but, you can still sign up and get points by recycling some electronic devices and other green behaviors.
The pilot program is a small portion of Mt. Greenwood south of 111th (much of Cassell's boundaries) and up near Talley's corner. There is also a pilot area in east Beverly.
If you believe you live in this area and do not have a tag you need to contact a member of the RecycleBank's Green Team or RecycleBank's local rep.. Kara Fitzpatrick or Sam Baffes
